LRSJ Protest Rights and Legal Observer Initiative

Our Goals

At PROTEST Hub, we aim to:

1. Community Legal Education

   • Protest safety: educating students and the public on digital, physical and cultural safety at protests.
   • Protest rights: providing information on police powers and our right to protest in the ACT.
   • Activism on campus: highlighting and explaining protest efforts happening on ANU campus.

2. Legal Observer Coordination

   • Training students to become legal observers.
   • Working with community organisers to coordinate legal observers at protests.

3. Independent Research

   • Facilitating student research, supervised by ANU academics.
   • Supporting community activism efforts through the provision of legal research support.
